Rånäs mill is Uppland’s southernmost Walloon mill. The Oxenstierna, Stenbock and Reuterskiöld families have ruled here since the 14th century. The mill belonged to the Oxenstierna family at Mörby Castle for much of the 16th and 17th centuries. Part of the mill movement in Gimo moved here in 1774 and the mill operation in Rånäs continued until 1894.
