Welcome to the Granby Local Heritage Museum in Rånäs and the Fasterna Local Heritage Association. The association was founded in 1983 and has been a community gathering point for over 30 years. Every summer, we organize a textile exhibition and a themed exhibition.
When the founder of Rånäs mill, the mining councilor Jean Le Febure – Liljenberg, managed Granby as a leasehold farm under the mill from 1772 until 1874. In 1876-1877, Granby Norrgård was built as worker housing for Rånäs mill. The builder was Oscar Axel Reuterskiöld. In 1998, the Fasterna Local Heritage Association purchased Granby, which is now used as a local heritage museum. Next to the heritage museum is the old curate’s residence, dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries.
