The magnificent barn, designed by architect W. Steinholz, was one of the largest in Uppland at the time and was completed in 1887. At that time, agriculture had become more important than iron handling. Thanks to the railway, milk that was not used at the dairy could be transported to the nearby dairy in Rimbo and other agricultural products could be transported to Stockholm for sale.
