FASTERNA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The scenic landscape around Skedviken is rich in history. Here lay the southernmost of the Walloon forges, and the hammering sounds were heard for over a hundred years from 1774 to 1894. R\u00e5n\u00e4s Bruk<\/span><\/h3>\n

R\u00e5n\u00e4s mill is Uppland\u2019s southernmost Walloon mill. R\u00e5n\u00e4s Castle<\/span><\/h3>\n

R\u00e5n\u00e4s Castle is situated in the heart of historical Sweden on the northern shore of Skedviken. R\u00e5n\u00e4s Forge had a charter from 1774 to produce 1500 skeppund (about 250 tons) of bar iron annually. Lake Skedviken<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lake Skedviken is known for being an interesting area for bird watching. In the autumn you can see flocks of birds on the lake and the meadows around the lake are popular resting areas. Runestone at Stortj\u00e4ran<\/span><\/h3>\n

In the parish of Fasterna, there is a runestone, a stone with a remarkable history. Fasterna Church<\/span><\/h3>\n

Fasterna Church is a grand cruciform church, with the ruins of M\u00f6rby Castle as its southern neighbor and the waters of Skedviken to the east. The church site itself is ancient. Welcome to the Granby Local Heritage Museum in R\u00e5n\u00e4s and the Fasterna Local Heritage Association. The association was founded in 1983 and has been a community gathering point for over 30 years. R\u00e5n\u00e4s chapel, also called Fasterna little church, is a church building that belongs to Fasterna parish in Uppsala diocese. The barn<\/span><\/h3>\n

The magnificent barn, designed by architect W. M\u00f6rby Castle Ruins<\/span><\/h3>\n

According to legend, the Viking chieftain Myre had his stronghold near the present-day ruins. Kornamossen<\/span><\/h3>\n

Kornamossen is a large, relatively untouched mire that is considered one of the most valuable in the county.
